The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, January 2 features the New Year opening with a bang as Jill decided to turn more than one life upside down, and Nick opted to do the same.
This Triangle Ain’t Big Enough For the Both Of Us
Nick (Joshua Morrow) has been a real bummer ever since catching Scott (Daniel Hall) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) kissing on New Year’s Eve. He asked Chelsea (Melissa Claire Eagan) what he should do, but didn’t like her answer, so did what he wanted to in the first place.
First, he was vague with Abby, going on about honesty and trust. But ongoing metaphors are tough, so Nick finally blabbed about what he knows.
Abby assured him that nothing is going on, she doesn’t have feelings for Scott, and there is no point in going to Sharon (Sharon Case) with news about nothing. Nick didn’t like Abby’s answer, so he did what he wanted to in the first place.
While Abby called and left a message for Scott, Nick headed over to Sharon’s. He struggled for a few minutes, then blurted that he has something to tell her about her new boyfriend.
Listen To Your Mother
Before heading back to Australia, Jill (Jess Walton) lectured Cane (Daniel Goddard) about what a crappy job he is doing winning Lily (Christel Khalil) back. Then she lectured Billy (Jason Thompson) about what a crappy job he is doing living his life, in general.
Jill offered Billy the co-CEO job at Chancellor, just as Cane offered J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) a position working for him.
This came after J.T. and Billy sniped at each other about Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Reed (Tristan Lake LeBeau), and all the stunts they pulled when they were teens. Cane also asked J.T. to move into the Chancellor mansion. This is going to be fun….
