The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Wednesday, July 18 features Nikki, Victoria, Sharon, Abby, and Summer feeling like they’ve been hit by a truck following Nick’s announcement. Meanwhile, Lily, Hilary, and Charlie were hit by an actual truck. Also, Mariah and Tessa kissed.
Cause I’m Coming At You Like a Dark Horse
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Abby (Melissa Ordway) accepted an invitation to meet with the owner of a new company called Dark Horse, which is doing business with most of the people who recently dumped Newman, following the leak about Victor’s (Eric Braeden) ailing health.
Soon, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Summer (Hunter King) arrived too, wondering what’s going on.
Nick appeared and announced that he is – Dark Horse! Nick reminded everyone of how Victor has used and controlled them all, over the years. Now Nick is striking back!
Everyone was horrified by how Nick was acting like his father – while defending Nick’s father. Nick invited everyone to join him in creating a new Newman legacy. Nikki, Victoria, and Sharon continued fretting about JT.

Bad Moms
Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) got Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) to cover for him, so he and Shauna (Camryn Hamm) could have sex at Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) apartment. But Mattie blabbed and Lily (Christel Khalil) headed over to confront her son.
Lily blamed Hilary for leaving the teens alone. Hilary called Lily a prude. Lily judged Shauna’s bad life choices, and Shauna ran off. Charlie screamed that they had to find her, so Lily, Hilary, and Charlie got into the car and started driving.
Lily continued ranting about what a bad mother Hilary will make, and what a bad idea it was for Devon to have a child with her.
The rant was cut short when they were all hit by a truck.
