The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, December 19 features Jack and Ashley furiously campaigning among friends and family for the future – and soul – of Jabot, with a surprising, last-minute Abbott casting the deciding vote.
Vote Early, Vote Often
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) called a No Confidence vote regarding Jack’s (Peter Bergman) tenure as CEO of Jabot. Traci (Beth Maitland) wishes it didn’t have to come down to this, and Dina (Marla Adams) assumes it’s all about her. Because, Alzheimer’s or not, she’s still the same selfish, self-centered woman she always was.
Both Abbott siblings made their pitches to board members like:
Lauren (Tracey Bregman): Promising to make Fenmore’s their number one priority.
Billy (Jason Thompson): You owe me! No, you owe me!
Abby (Melissa Ordway): I’m your mother! I supported your stupid business incubator!
Jack added Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to the board, but the vote is still a tie – until Kyle voted in absentia.
Jack crowed that he knew his son would come through – until Gloria (Judith Chapman) revealed that Kyle voted No Confidence. And Jack is OUT.
Choose Your Poison
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) confesseds to Nick (Joshua Morrow) that she stole money from Victor. Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) confirmed that Nick’s mom could be facing jail time.
As Nikki stresses about her future, Victor (Eric Braeden) invited her over for a romantic dinner. Victor told Nikki he knows she stole the money. But he is willing to overlook it. Victor will drop all charges – if Nikki returns to the ranch. And their marriage.
On Victor’s terms.
Oh, Vic. There’s a word for what you’re doing. And most of them also come with criminal charges. What will Nikki do?
