The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, October 18 finds Dina missing, Phyllis plotting, Cane seething, and Hilary crowing.
Sorry, ‘Dina’ See You There
Graham (Max Shippee) and his magic medical power of attorney made it possible for him to be the first — and only — person to see Dina (Marla Adams) once she woke up in the hospital. Dina told Graham she remembers him telling her he hated her, but Graham insists she won him over and still has his complete loyalty.
Jack (Peter Bergman) and his magic checkbook made it possible for him, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) to see their mother next. But, to the Abbott siblings’ shock, Dina was gone!
Cane (Daniel Goddard) gloated to Billy about how Cane will now be running Jill’s (Jess Walton) company. Billy fired back by saying they’ve finally found a replacement for Cane at Jabot — it’s Lily (Christel Khalil). But she won’t be doing Cane’s job, she’ll be doing Juliet’s (Laur Allen). How is that for irony, mate?
Meanwhile, Lily told Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) that she just wants to focus on her kids and her job now, so Jordan asks Hilary (Mishael Morgan) out. Does he think she’s a different person now from who she was a month ago?
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) put Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) on retainer — which assures his silence — and told him about Billy (Jason Thompson) using her to spy on Jabot. Billy doesn’t know that Phyllis knows. Michael suggested she tell him. Phyllis blamed Victoria (Amelia Heinle) for everything.
At the same time, Billy was telling Victoria about how betrayed Ashley feels by Dina, and how guilty that’s made Billy feel about betraying Phyllis. Billy resolved to tell her. Will he lose his nerve? Will she?
