The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, January 9 features a party, as Sharon invited over some women to prove how fine she is – and crashing guests proved just how far they all have to go.
I’m With Her
Sharon (Sharon Case) threw a party to prove how totally over Scott she is. First, she upset Mariah (Camryn Grimes) by inviting Tessa (Cait Faribanks).
Then Hilary (Mishael Morgan) upset Sharon by inviting Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). While Hilary touted the healing powers of sisterhood, Phyllis and Sharon rehashed past history. i.e. Nick (Joshua Morrow).
And then Abby (Melissa Ordway) showed up. She apologized to Sharon for sleeping with Scott. Sharon accepted the apology, but told Abby she won’t be inviting her to future parties. (Not that she invited her to this one.)
Missed Connections
Cane (Daniel Goddard) wants Lily. Lily (Christel Khalil) wants Cane. But they can’t seem to manage to end up in the same room together long enough to convey that sentiment to each other. So Lily said goodbye to the kids and headed for Paris. Cane stayed home.

Small Victories
JT (Thad Luckinbill) lectured Victoria (Amelia Heinle) on her bad parenting of Reed (Tristan Lake Lebeau), even though he’s been an MIA dad for a year.
Meanwhile, like father, like son, Reed blamed Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) for getting him arrested, instead of himself for driving drunk.
At least Victoria got one victory when she refused to sell Hashtag to Devon (Bryton James). Scott (Daniel Hall) tried to get Devon to buy it so Scott wouldn’t have to keep seeing Abby every day. Shame Scott doesn’t, actually, you know, own the magazine….
