The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, February 5 features Chelsea juggling as fast as she can to keep all her balls in the air, Victoria offering J.T. a job – and Ashley a warning, as Mariah once again came to Tessa’s rescue.
Two Sides To Every Story
Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) told Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that they wanted to issue a press release explaining that Fenmore’s got hacked and they weren’t the ones selling ill-fitting Chelsea 2.0 dresses.
Chelsea kiboshed the plan because she says it will ruin her brand, and convinces the women to drop the investigation since ‘Alexandra West’ has proven to be a dead end.
Later, Chelsea told Nick that dropping the investigation was Lauren and Phyllis’s idea and that Chelsea was all bummed about it.
No Naps For Nepotism!
Cane (Daniel Goddard) wasn’t happy to hear that J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) has been moonlighting and warns him not to do it again. J.T. whined to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that Cane isn’t giving him big assignments, so Victoria suggested he come work at Newman.
Victoria continued believing in the power of nepotism when she taunted Ashley (Eileen Davidson) about never taking over for Victor (Eric Braeden). Ashley pointed out that you can get fired even from your family company (she should know), and that Vicky should watch her back.
It’s Who You Know
Having friends in high places comes in handy for Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), too. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) convinced Nick (Joshua Morrow) to rent Tessa one of the apartments for low-income tenants that Nick is remodeling.
Yeah, sure, those are supposed to be distributed by lottery, and some people have been on waiting lists for literally years to get one, but… yeah, sure, why not? Laws are for other people. Not friends of the Newmans….
