The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, October 4 confirms what Jack has long known and Ashley, Phyllis, and Victoria suspected but didn’t want to believe — Billy is crooked… and an idiot.
And He Walked Right Into It!
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) tells Billy (Jason Thompson) to stop using Phyllis’s laptop to hack into Jabot’s computers and steal their trade secrets. Billy sent Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) off to get a massage — and did it anyway.
Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Ravi (Abhi Sinha) watched him do it remotely, as Billy downloaded a document Jack planted, suggesting that Jabot was going to drastically cut their men’s line marketing budget.
Billy went running to Victoria, insisting that they up their men’s line advertising to take advantage of this. Victoria was worried. If they fail, Brash & Sassy will go under. Billy insisted they can’t fail. He’s a genius, remember? Victoria finally agreed.

The Aunts Go Marching One By One
Ashley urged Dina (Marla Adams) to ask Graham (Max Shippee) about his mother. The one who isn’t dead, but whom he is supporting at a very expensive senior living facility in Florida. That’s not my mother, that’s my aunt, Graham said. Oh, OK, Dina said.
My Hard Earned Settlement
Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) he’s certain Kevin (Greg Rikaart) helped Victor (Eric Braeden) siphon millions out of Nick’s bank account. But, Nick has a plan to get back at Victor.
Surely he knows that Victor always, always, always wins in the end. But Nick figures he’s smarter than anyone else and can get the best of his dad. Oh, Nick. See Billy and his confidence, above.
