The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, April 5 features ramped up tension as Victoria rushed to a therapist to figure out what’s going on with her and JT, while JT visited Jack in jail.
Ashley convinced Billy to take over as CEO from Kyle, and Phyllis was supportive. But Kyle won’t go down without a fight. Plus, a frazzled Nick blew off Sharon, who insisted on holding on to hope.
Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
JT (Thad Luckinbill) pressed Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to set a wedding date, but she went running to a therapist, instead. Victoria confessed her concerns about staying with JT, and the therapist noted that he’s controlling… kind of like Victoria’s daddy, huh?
Victoria imagined several scenarios where she breaks up with JT, and was determined to go through with it. But when she got home he, once again, he charmed her out of it. So, they made out some more.
Jack (Peter Bergman) wondered to JT who the spineless coward is who is willing to let Jack got to jail for the crime he committed.
Meanwhile, Billy (Jason Thompson) agreed to take over for Kyle (Michael Mealor), but Kyle was not going gently into that good-night. He pointed out that Jack’s codicil says the highest-ranking blood Abbott currently employed at Jabot is acting CEO. And Billy isn’t currently employed at Jabot.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) almost blurted out that Kyle isn’t a blood Abbott either, but Ashley stopped her. And, Kyle told them to close the door on their way out.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) came to Nick (Joshua Morrow) to plead Jack’s case, while Sharon (Sharon Case) admitted to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that she has’t given up hope of reuniting with Nick. Which time would that be now?
