The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Tuesday, January 2 find J.T. suddenly deciding to play dad again, worrying about Billy’s influence on Reed. Plus, Nick wonders what he should do about catching Scott and Abby kissing.

My Two Dads
J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) wasn’t much involved in Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) Genoa City life, but now that J.T.’s marriage has fallen apart and Mac moved out with his two younger children, he decides to focus on his oldest son again.

Luckily, Reed has just been pulled over by the cops for driving drunk, so J.T. can jump right in. He gives the incident some serious thought and decides he knows who’s to blame. Not his stupid and irresponsible son. Not Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who Reed has been living with for over a year.

It’s Billy (Jason Thompson)! Billy is the problem! Billy is a gambling addict, so he must have set a bad example for Reed. Yup, that’s the ticket. Reed’s biggest problem is Billy’s influence. And J.T. is off to do something about it. Father of the (new) year!

Seeing Is Believing
Nick (Joshua Morrow) was already bummed about needing to make an appearance at Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor’s (Eric Braeden) sham of a vow renewal. His evening got even worse when he stumbled upon Scott (Daniel Hall) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) sharing much more than a “we’re just colleagues” kiss.

Should he tell Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan)? More importantly, should he tell Sharon (Sharon Case)?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Will she doubt his motives for being the bearer of bad news? Will she believe him at all? Nick doesn’t know it, but he could always turn to Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) and Mariah (Camryin Grimes) for backup.

Just how many people will Sharon accuse of lying — or misunderstanding — before she faces the truth?

PROGRAMMING NOTE: The Young and the Restless will be pre-empted on both Friday, December 29 and Monday, January 1.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
