Sharon immediately jumps to Nick’s defense, but Rey, in all his cluelessness, reminds her that if Nick goes down, he can’t protect her so there’s no need for her to continue protecting him.
Rey keeps going through what he thinks he knows about that April night and Sharon begs him to stop.
As Rey keeps hammering questions at her, it hits him Nikki never left with a weapon that night and never left at all.
Finally, Sharon blurts out what she’s been dying to say for nearly a year:
