The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, July 3 features a day of powerhouse moves, a stunning arrival, meddling moms, and some sizzling scenes no one expected. Lola got a new roommate, Adam made an odd request, and it seemed Chelsea and Nick may not be over each other.
Kevin the Lap Dog
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) had power over Adam, Adam (Mark Grossman) had power over Phyllis, but they both had power over Kevin (Greg Rikaart). They agreed to use poor Kev as their gofer to do all their bidding and dirty deed.
Adam even demanded Kevin spend every second of every day following Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and searching for his son.
Calvin Arrived
Adam may not need Kevin for too much longer, though. Chelsea’s husband came knocking on Adam’s door. He knew she remarried but seeing Calvin (John Burke) in the flesh was a bit of a shock. And, Calvin’s attitude did not help. He demanded they have themselves a little talk — man to man.
Chelsea may not know her hubs is in town. While Calvin was preparing to sort out Adam, she was flirting with Nick (Joshua Morrow). They ran into each other at the park and took Christian to the fair together. Then, while touring Nick’s new digs she agreed to a dinner date!

Playing Hooky
Meanwhile, Phyllis had some other drama on her plate. She reached out to make up with Summer (Hunter King) but her call went ignored. Summer has no time for the likes of her mom and was already busy day drinking and hitting up the fair with Theo (Tyler Johnson).
Oh, Mama!
Over at Society, Celeste (Eva LaRue) gave Kyle (Michael Mealor) the third degree before taking over his life. She didn’t know he moved in with Lola (Sasha Calle) so he had to pack his bags and go back home.
No reason to stir the pot for a few days, right? Wrong. As it turns out, Celeste is staying for a while. Oh, and she took over the wedding plans, too! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
