The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, July 16 features a surprise conversation between Chelsea and Victor and another between Nick and Chelsea. Plus, offered advice to Jack and Cane, while Traci also had some for Jack.
Family Dynamics
Victor (Eric Braeden) intruded on Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) just as she was getting off the phone with Anita (Catherin Bach), who wanted to know about Calvin’s will. Victor further surprised Chelsea by agreeing with her decision to keep Connor from Adam (Mark Grossman), and not even tell him his biological dad is alive.
He also agreed that Nick should keep Christian. Once he established himself as the greatest guy ever, Victor wanted to see Connor. Chelsea gave him the name of her son’s camp.
Nick came home and Victor invited him to a family dinner Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is planning. Nick invited Chelsea. Knowing it will piss off Adam.
Cane (Daniel Goddard) told Jill (Jess Walton) that he’s going to New York with Traci (Beth Maitland) to meet her publisher since he’s the inspiration for her latest book.

Jill was concerned about the burgeoning relationship, but Cane assured her it’s good for both of them. Billy (Jason Thompson) overheard and threw a fit, insisting his sister didn’t need Cane.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack (Peter Bergman) noted Traci’s cheerful mood and said he should take inspiration from her. Traci gave Jack a pep talk, then she got ready to take off with Cane.
Jack checked in with Jill. Nikki showed up and the snark flowed. Jack wished Nikki the best with Victor and whatever was going on with him.
Billy saw his brother and wonders why Jack isn’t happier — Jabot is doing great! Billy had an idea to cheer Jack up. He booked him on a flight to France — go see Ashley (Eileen Davidson)!
