The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, June 26 features Traci finally starring in her own romantic fantasy, Summer dropping in on Lola’s bridal shower, and Phyllis taunting Jack.

Stop the Presses!
Traci (Beth Maitland) set a world record for writing a full-length book as she tied up her story with the Cane (Daniel Goddard) character getting shot in the stomach…but realizing it was the Traci character he wanted all along. (Hope he doesn’t get sepsis!)

Traci told Cane and he congratulates her. Cane wanted to read the book. Traci suggests he get it personally read to him by the author. She sets another record speed-reading the entire, allegedly 400-page manuscript to him. In the end, an overwhelmed Cane kissed her.

Out Of the Shower
Summer (Hunter King) crashed the bridal shower Abby (Melissa Ordway) threw for Lola (Sasha Calle). Ana (Loren Lott), Elena (Brytni Sarpy), Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) were the only guests. Has Lola made no friends not connected to Kyle (Michael Mealor) or Devon (Bryton James) in Genoa City?

Maybe that’s why she allowed Summer to stay. But it was mostly the liver thing. Summer made a gracious speech about the two of them co-existing. Later, Lola’s mom, Celeste (Eva LaRue) arrived.

Meanwhile, Summer learned that Theo planned to throw Kyle a bachelor party to end all bachelor parties.

Scorching the Earth
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) waltzed into Jack’s (Peter Bergman) and dropped her news about being the new CEO of Dark Horse…along with a gift basket. She told Jack she forgave him. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) walked in. Phyllis said she forgave her, too. No gift basket, though.

Phyllis waltzed out. Jack and Lauren ate what was in the gift basked — after checking it for listening devices. Jack told Lauren what a great friend she was. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
