The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 31 features an end of the month filled with forgiveness and reconciliation, as Nick and Phyllis made peace — though Adam made her pay for it, Christine and Michael discussed a transition, and Kyle faced potential blackmail from Theo.
You Can’t Triple Cross a Double Cross!
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) thought she had it all figured out. She teamed up with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to sell most of Adam’s (Mark Grossman) Dark Horse properties out from under him. She sold the Jaboutiques to Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) — who knew better than to ask too many questions.
She returned the rest of the assets to Nick (Joshua Morrow), as a way of apologizing and calling a truce to their feud — for Summer’s (Hunter King) sake, if nothing else. Nick told Victoria he only wanted a few of the properties — he’s still trying to find himself.
Then, she went to flaunt her work to Adam. She also told him she now owned The Grand Pheonix Hotel. Adam countered that she owns a Grand Pheonix Hotel. But not the one in Genoa City. He’s not an idiot. Phyllis was busted!
Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) talked to Christine (Lauralee Bell) about her stepping down as DA, and Michael assuming the position. She thought the guy who sexually harassed and attacked her becoming a spokesperson for law and order was a great idea.
Adam was pleased by the development. Paul (Doug Davidson) promised to support Christine but urged her not to rush into anything.
What Happened In NYC…
Theo taunted Kyle (Michael Mealor) about the certain mess he cleaned up for Kyle back during their New York City party-hearty days. Kyle wasn’t happy about it, and warned Theo not to use it against him — or else. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
