The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, April 9 features Jack with a brand-new plan for Jabot to beat Ashley, while Paul offered Rey a chance to get back his job, and Phyllis wanted Summer away from all the Abbotts — but especially Jack and Kyle.
Collectives Never Work
Jack (Peter Bergman) pitched his family on a new Jabot Collective — a full lifestyle brand that won’t end with cosmetics, but also feature fashion, shoes, and lots of social influencers to help them get the word out.
Traci (Beth Maitland) thought it’s too off brand, and too big of a risk to take, especially if it’s just so Jack can stick it to Ashley. Jack insisted they have no choice. Then, later, he learned Ashley was planning the exact same thing!
Out Of the Frying Pan, Into the Fire
Paul (Doug Davidson) wanted to give Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) a second chance to prove that he’s a good — honest — cop. Paul wanted Rey to investigate Lola’s (Sasha Calle) attack. Paul wondered if Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) was involved, because of Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) involvement with Arturo (Jason Canela).
Rey claimed he investigated his wife and she had an alibi — she was with Arutro! Yup, that will surely prove Rey is an honest cop, all right.
Later, after trying to get Lola to put in a good word with Rey for her, Mia thanked Rey for protecting her and the baby. Rey wondered if the child is Arutro’s.
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) hired someone to follow Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola. As Summer (Hunter King) happily packed for a spa trip with Mom, Phyllis yelled at Jack about offering Summer a job. She claimed this is personal. At the same time, Kyle ran into Lola. After Phyllis had a little talk with Lola…
