The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, July 15 features a focus on parents and children as Adam tried to get closer to Christian, Chelsea refused to return Connor to Adam’s orbit, and Rey told Lola a secret about their mother.
Sons and Lovers
Adam (Mark Grossman) saw Christian in the park with Nick (Joshua Morrow), Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and Sharon (Sharon Case), and tried to win his son over with a popsicle.
Christian responded as he does to all things, by looking down at the ground, mumbling, and shaking his head. Sharon was furious that she ever saw something good in the man. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) arrived and Sharon assures him she’s not thinking about Adam when they’re together. This…was a conversation they’ve had before.
Setting Up
Rey also told Chelsea that Adam tried to frame her for Calvin’s murder with a tape he recorded. Chelsea went to Adam to yell at them. He told her she made him a better man, but Chelsea was not the sucker Helen Hunt was with Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets, and didn’t fall for it. She told Adam he can become a better man without her and stomped out.

Back home, Nick called Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) to report that Adam tried to frame Chelsea…and he’s in cahoots with Chance Chancellor.
Daddy Don’t
Rey told Lola (Sasha Calle) — he was today’s designated messenger — that Celeste (Eva LaRue) had been in touch with their dad, Adrian, even though she threw him out for cheating on her before Lola was born.
Celeste explained that it’s complicated, and Adrian wanted to give Lola away at her wedding. Lola threw a fit — if her dad showed up, she’d cancel the wedding! The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
