The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 22 features Kyle making a decision about Jabot’s future, Phyllis making a confession to Jack and Nick, and Nikki changing her mind about the blackmailer.

Patent Play
Dina (Marla Adams) continued to demonstrate how she has no clue what a good mother actually is by showing Kyle (Michael Mealor) a document John once drew up giving Ashley (Eileen Davidson) control of all patents that she filed for Jabot.

Sure, basically owning all of Jabot’s assets totally makes up for abandoning Ashley as a child, then blowing up her life with the Brent Davis paternity revelation.

But the document certainly got Kyle’s attention. He realized that means Jack (Peter Bergman) might be CEO of Jabot, but Ashley controled the majority of their products.

There was only one thing to do – Kyle attempted to shred the document, as Dina screamed for him to stop. (She also said the Jabot lawyers drew up the document… so wouldn’t they know it exists? And have a copy of it?)

Pay Up Or Shut Up
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) failed to track their blackmailer’s electronic footprint, and suggested she, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Sharon dig up the body and move it to cover their tracks.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Sharon (Sharon Case) objected – violently – and reminded everyone that she just wants to pay off the guy.

Later, when Mariah (Camryn Grimes) revealed she’s been getting weird hang-up calls, Sharon feared the blackmailer is now going after her kids. Nikki agreed to transfer the money. Because she has a lot of it.

Sorry About That, Chief
Phyllis told Jack and Nick (Joshua Morrow) that she and Billy (Jason Thompson) were over. Phyllis apologized to Jack for how she treated him, and Jack told her she’s great.

Nick informed Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) that he and Sharon will end up getting back together. Because Nick says so.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
