The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, September 3 features Lily’s sentencing hearing as she prepared her kids to hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Plus, Shauna worried about her statement, Cane took the blame on himself, Michael argued Lily’s side, and Devon shocked the court with his words.

Neil Away
Neil (Kristoff St. John) had to leave town at the last minute to help Sophia, who is back in the hospital.

Nate (Brooks Darnell) stood in for his uncle, and listens as Shauna (Camryn Hamm) worried about her testimony. Devon (Bryton James) accused Nate of trying to sway what Shauna intended to say, and snapped that he just wants this all over with.

Last Call
Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) makde waffles, which Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) could barely swallow as they shared what might be their last breakfast with their parents.

In court, Cane (Daniel Goddard) swore that he is the one who refused to tell Lily (Christel Khalil) about her running the red light – she didn’t lie deliberately.

Shauna talked about the huge role Hilary (Mishael Morgan) played in her life, but admitted she doesn’t want to ruin Charlie and Mattie’s lives by sending their mother to prison.

Devon (Bryton James), however, had no such hesitation. Despite Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) asking for probation, community service, and a fine, Devon insisted the book be thrown at his sister. He wanted Lily to get the maximum penalty.

The Waiting Game
As they waited for the judge’s verdict, Cane confronted Devon, demanding to know how he’ll feel when his own sister is in jail – because of him.

Cane also pointed out that Neil forgave Devon over Hilary. Wouldn’t he want Devon to do the same for Lily?

The judge then returned to announce that he’s made a decision about Lily’s sentencing!
