The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, September 14 features Ashley doing a better job at keeping a secret than Abby or Billy. Plus, Tessa swore Sharon to secrecy. And Kyle ate Cuban food.
Why So Secretive?
Victor (Eric Braeden) swore Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) to secrecy when he recognized his father, Albert Miller, in the photo Abby (Melissa Ordway) got Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to broadcast.
But, he didn’t count on his brother, Matt, recognizing the same photo and calling in a tip. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) urged her daughter to keep the news from Jack (Peter Bergman) until Ashley has had a chance to investigate.
Abby said she would, but then spilled anyway. Jack, however, didn’t want to hear the possibility.
Earlier, Jack told Billy (Jason Thompson) he didn’t know where the bills being paid to Type A Consulting are going. That’s another secret of Ashley’s.
But Billy is keeping secrets about his gambling, too, which Gloria (Judith Chapman) refused to spill to Kyle. She warns Billy to watch it, nonetheless.
Tell No One
Sharon (Sharon Case) rushed to the coffee house to find Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) beaten up, but otherwise OK.
Tessa let Nate (Brooks Darnell) examine her – he said her injuries are mostly superficial – but refused to go to the police. She insisted she won’t put her sister in danger.
She also won’t let Sharon tell Mariah about the incident. Sharon apologized for doubting Tessa. Well, that’s… convenient….
Kyle (Michael Mealor) flirted with a young woman working a Cuban food truck. Lo and behold, she also turns out to be related to the only other Hispanic characters on the canvas.
She’s Arturo (Jason Canela) and Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) baby sister, Lola (Sasha Calle). Arturo told Lola that Rey is back in town, and they both looked…inexpressive.
