The Young and the Restless Fans Feel THIS Way About the Sex-Trafficking Story!

All Sharon did was pick up a phone and — blam! — she’s in the middle of a brand new storyline. The Young and the Restless (YR) is tackling sex-trafficking… maybe. They’re not sure yet.

Sharon (Sharon Case) thinks a young woman named Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) is being held and forced to have sex with strangers against her will, so she pulled in Paul (Doug Davidson).

Paul revealed that Christine (Lauralee Bell) was already on the hunt, and had even called Scott in for some investigative reporting.

So they’re all on board, but how about you? Over 5,000 viewers voted on how they felt.

Make It Go Away!
One week in, and the enthusiasm is low, as 52% of you offer a vocal, “NO! WHY is this storyline happening at all?”

The victim is no one we know. The villain is no one we know… at least for now. Christine is off the canvas, and Sharon is hardly qualified to play sleuth.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Even Scott (Daniel Hall) is pretty much a newbie, and we haven’t even gotten a straight answer about what really happened with him in the Middle East yet. We’re supposed to care if he gets involved?

Plus, the whole thing could still turn out to be a con or a scam. Why should we invest?

Give It Time
Because we know so little, 27% of the audience can’t decide one way or the other. They’re willing to watch it play out some more before picking a side.

Give Me More!
Finally, 21% are all in. You think this is a serious issue, and it’s great that Y&R is tackling it. Heck, remember when Nina (Tricia Cast) first showed up in Genoa City as a pregnant teen whose baby was stolen and sold on the black market?

She was a stranger, but she became a fan favorite. Maybe the same thing will happen with Crystal and Co!
