On The Young and the Restless, the holiday season seems to be making recently widowed Nick and Chelsea extra-lonely and nostalgic.
Plus, taking care of a kid on your own is pretty dull. So should these two suddenly single parents explore the possibility of making merry under the mistletoe? Soap Hub asked over 2,500 of you if you see any chemistry between the one-time in-laws and you definitely leaned on one direction.
The Last of the Red Hot Lovers
A landslide 72% of viewers think Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea could be red hot together. We already know that Nick has a thing for not exactly law-abiding blondes. And that Chelsea likes Newman men. Especially filthy-rich Newman men. And we all know that Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) son, Conner, is half-brother to Nick’s “son,” Christian. So they’re practically a ready-made family.

On the other hand, a smaller contingent, 16%, think the Newman family is incestuous enough. Remember, Nick’s nephew, Johnny, is also technically half-brother to Conner, via Chelsea and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) affair. For some fans, that’s quite enough togetherness. They’re grossed out and don’t think Nick and Chelsea generate any chemistry at all.
Too Soon To Tell
Meanwhile, 13% would love the chance to decide one way or the other, except Nick and Chelsea don’t have enough screen-time (together, that is, there’s always Nick and Sharon, and Chelsea and Chloe) for them to make a fair and balanced assessment. However, that’s likely to change, seeing as how, these days, Nick can’t even decorate a Christmas cookie without reaching out to Chelsea, and Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) certainly likes spending time with her aunt more than she likes being around her mother. These fans’ holiday wish just might be answered, and then we’ll know for sure whose hot and whose not.
