Jack and Nikki have lots of history together on The Young and the Restless (YR). They’ve been friends, husband and wife, and allies against Victor — but recently, they decided to end their ongoing relationship.
Soap Hub asked Y&R fans if they think that Jack and Nikki should reconcile. Read on for the results!
Past Imperfect
Jack and Nikki’s relationship has been fairly complicated. They started out having fun together, risking Victor’s wrath in the process. Jack (Peter Bergman) upped the stakes by marrying Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), hoping to use her as a bargaining chip to get Jabot back from Victor. Smiling Jack didn’t count on falling in love with Nikki for real.
But her heart was always going to belong to Victor (Eric Braeden). For this reason, the majority of you, nearly 80%, feel that Jack and Nikki should not reconcile.
Try, Try, And Try Again
A little over 20% of you feel that Nikki and Jack should give it another shot and get back together.
There’d have to be some serious ground rules in place for this to happen. Otherwise, Jack could expect to face regular opposition from Victor.

There’d also need to be a good reason for Jack and Nikki to try once again — would either be motivated by financial reasons? Is Nikki looking to get even with Victor? That’s not necessarily a good reason to bring them back together.
Surprise Reunion
Longtime Y&R fans know that Jack and Nikki’s son died shortly after a premature birth (likely caused by an altercation between Victor and Nikki at the ranch) and that the infant’s heart was donated to a dying child whom Jack later met at Jabot with the baby’s mother.
But what if Jack and Nikki’s kid was switched at birth and another ill-fated infant provided the organ? It’d be quite a twist to give Jack and Nikki a child. That would be a reason for the two of them to reunite!
