Of late, Victoria’s struggled not only in her role at Newman Enterprises but also in her personal life and J.T.’s sudden significant other on The Young and the Restless.
Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) recent team meeting about a positive work environment went south faster than the donuts disappear in the break room. She wanted everyone to come together and be all chummy, but it quickly disintegrated into a showdown with members of her staff ending with Lily’s resignation.
Vicki put her hands to her head in frustration after Lily left her office, and the move raises the question as to whether or not she’s still suffering ill effects from her earlier face cream poisoning.
Earlier this year, Vicki had applied some tainted cosmetics to her face, which resulted in wild mood swings and erratic behavior like her ill-advised fling with Ben Hochman (Ben Hermes). (We miss ya, Hoch!)
Now, she’s acting paranoid at work and taking desperate measures against her nemesis Ashley (Eileen Davidson). At home, she made an incredibly rash decision in reuniting with her ex, J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and then moving him in after a few days. It’s possible there’s more to her unusual behavior than just stress.
Time will tell whether Vicki’s recent mood is attributed to her previous poisoning or whether she’s just not cut out to be a boss at Brash & Sassy.
Of course, Victoria’s not the only one doing some out of character behavior. We’ve seen J.T. act more agitated and controlling than he’s been in the past. Perhaps there’s a gas leak in Vicki’s house that is accounting for the odd behavior of its occupants?
