Devon didn’t let much grass grow under his feet on The Young and the Restless. Just a few weeks after kicking Elena (Brytni Sarpy) out for cheating on him with his cousin Nate (Sean Dominic), Devon (Bryton James) was asking Amanda (Mishael Morgan) about the possibility of a relationship between the two of them.

Then, one night with Elena could change everything. But everybody knows that soap opera characters don’t know what’s best for them. Only viewers do. So whom do almost 3000 viewers think is the better woman for Devon?

A majority 60% of you are sticking with Elena. So she made a little mistake. So what? As she made it clear to Devon, her sleeping with Nate was his fault. He insisted on talking to Amanda about Hilary and Elena didn’t like that. She is happy to take responsibility for her actions… as long as Devon is made to understand that her actions were caused by his actions.

Now that they’ve gotten that out in the open, they can start again, go back to the relationship they had before Amanda showed up in their lives. Everything will be great. Unless, of course, Devon ever does something else that Elena doesn’t like.

It’s obvious Devon still misses Hilary, a smaller 40% of the audience points out, and Amanda is better than nothing. She looks like her, she sounds like her, and, unlike Elena, Amanda actually likes talking about Hilary, rather than feeling threatened by it.
Sure, she’ll never know if Devon actually loves her and isn’t just trying to bring Hilary back to life, but this poll isn’t about what’s best for Amanda, it’s about what’s best for Devon. Amanda lets Devon drift back into his past and live in a fantasy. Her personal feelings have nothing to do with this. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
