What Fans Suspect About The Young and the Restless’ (YR) Tessa

When Tessa first arrived in Genoa City, The Young and the Restless (YR) fans weren’t sure what to make of her.

Was she scamming Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott)? Was she yet another long-lost child of Victor’s (Eric Braeden)? Was she after Noah (Robert Adamson) for his money?

All of the above could still be true, but the one concrete thing we know so far is that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has some kind of past with Zack (Ryan Ashton), and that her sister, Crystal (Morgan Obenreder), is allegedly part of the alleged human-trafficking ring.

So was Tessa once a call-girl as well? Over 7,000 viewers made their best guess.

Good Time Girl
It’s almost unanimous, as 90% of you offer an unabashed “Yes!” It makes perfect sense. Why else would she be so skittish, so distrustful of men, so close-mouthed about her past, and so freaked out about what her sister has gotten herself into?

You’re betting Zack’s dating app is just a cover for a high-end escort service, and before he brought it to Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Newman Enterprises for a high-tech upgrade, he gave it a dry run in Chicago… with Tessa as one of his girls.

Not In My Town!
But that scenario makes no sense to 10% of fans. Why would Zack move from a bigger town to a smaller one? Wouldn’t the pickings be slimmer in Genoa City? (Unless, of course, that’s the point; a perfect cover.)

Furthermore, if Tessa was once a victim (and we’re not even sure of that, yet), wouldn’t she have done everything in her power to scare her sister away from that life? Just how dumb is Crystal?

And if she’s being forced into prostitution due to something Tessa has done, then why is Tessa so clueless?

It seems obvious, but maybe there’s more to the story than meets the eye?
