It was the calm before the storm during Christmas 2009 on The Young and the Restless (YR), when Adam and Sharon shocked everyone and eloped to Lake Tahoe!
The snowy, outdoor setting provided a fairytale background for the former in-laws to say their “I dos.” The couple arrived at their idyllic wedding site in a sleigh. Then, as they said their vows, Adam (Michael Muhney) gave Sharon (Sharon Case) a wedding ring that had belonged to his late mother.
He thought Sharon didn’t have a ring for him, but she managed to sneak away to secure one while he arranged for their beautiful, simple ceremony.

Sadly (or maybe not), fans may remember that their wedding bliss didn’t last very long because on their way back to Genoa City, the Newman jet they were on crashed. As the plane went down, Adam wrote a note to Sharon that read, “Your baby is alive” although a concussion kept her from remembering.
