Nikki Newman has lived through many tragedies on The Young and the Restless (YR), and perhaps one of the worst was more than a decade ago when she got shot.
In 2006, shortly after Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) went against Victor (Eric Braeden) and helped her children with a corporate takeover, she was mugged.
Victor rushed to her aid and helped save her life when he began to beat up the would-be car thief while Nikki attempted to escape her mugger.

The gun discharged, and Victor continued fighting the man until the thief passed out. Unfortunately, Nikki’s escape was not to be when a bullet stopped her in her tracks — leaving her fighting for her life.
This intense and scary flashback will leave you surprised by Victor’s prowess and shocked at Nikki’s misfortune. This moment marks one of several times when Nikki’s life was in danger over the years. Through it all, she survives and stands strong today.
