The Young And The Restless WILD Speculation: Ashley IS John Abbott’s Daughter After All!

 Comments

The Young and the Restless (YR) threw a story twist into the Abbott family history when Dina told Abby that John is not Jack’s dad! Maybe there’s another twist coming, too!

Past Imperfect
When Ashley (Eileen Davidson) learned that she wasn’t John’s daughter back in the mid-80s, she went into a dramatic downward spiral and got in some trouble–and was finally rescued by Victor. Ash may have lost a dad but she found a new hero.

Power Play
Additional drama ensued when Jack (then Terry Lester, now Peter Bergman) learned the truth and blackmailed his half-sister into stepping down at Jabot.

If she didn’t, then Jack would tell John (Jerry Douglas) that he wasn’t her true dad! Ashley couldn’t believe her brother was so despicable, but Jack was determined to get back in the driver’s seat at Jabot!

After Dina (Marla Adams) left town, the secret of Ash’s paternity wasn’t addressed and the few who knew rarely — if ever — brought it up.

Then, John died and the issue of whether or not he’d ever learn the truth became moot!

Ashley’s paternity remained hidden only to be revealed last year at a gala honoring the cosmetics exec when Dina blurted it out in an emotional moment!

Look At The Science
Viewers only had Dina’s word to go by when they learned that Brent Davis (Bert Kramer) was Ashley’s dad. There was no DNA testing. What if Dina had had one night of intimacy with John during her affair with Brent and it turns out that Ashley is John’s daughter!

All of a sudden, the power balance would shift from one sibling to another! Even when John died, he always believed Ashley was his daughter, it’d be fitting if it turned out that he really is.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
