While she’s been trying to keep it a secret, Chelsea is up and around on The Young and the Restless. In real life, her portrayer, Melissa Claire Egan, is out and about and is sharing some personal news with the whole world!
Melissa Claire Egan Shares A Bumpdate
A pregnant Egan posted on her Instagram account photos from a recent vacation she and her husband, TV executive and, thanks to COVID-19, occasional YR day player, Matt Katrosar, took. “One more 📸 taken by @katrosar a few weeks ago on vacay🌊😎,” Egan posted.
“We’re overwhelmed and soooo touched by all the love we’ve gotten since sharing about Baby K on the way,” she adds. “You guys are the BEST, your words have meant so much to us. THANK YOU👶 (and loving all the YR questions, not sure how I’ll be written out for maternity leave yet, we have some time…maybe I’ll fall down a well! Or get kidnapped again by Stryker🤣).”

Last November, Kratosar played a kidnapper (AKA “Stryker”), who abducted Chelsea on Adam’s (Mark Grossman) orders. The show reached out to Egan’s husband to play the part in order to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.
Several co-stars of Egan’s, past and present, chimed in on her post, offering well-wishes, mostly in the form of emojis, including Lauralee Bell (Christine), Brytni Sarpy (Elena), Melissa Ordway (Abby), and Egan’s former leading man on All My Children, Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan), who is set to be joining the cast of General Hospital.
Rebecca Budig (ex-Greenlee, All My Children) wrote: “You are the cutest pregnant woman in the world.” Concurred Jessica Collins (ex-Avery): “So gorgeous Mama! ❤️❤️❤️”
Currently, Chelsea’s holding onto a big secret — she’s got her mobility back! However, Sharon (Sharon Case) is on to Chelsea and she’s spreading the word that the one-time con shouldn’t be trusted.
