The Young and the Restless Star Lauralee Bell Stars In Weekend Movies

Lauralee Bell is trading in the high-powered suits she wears as Christine Williams on The Young and the Restless for some dynamic high-class gowns as Daphne Dumas, wife of Pierre (Gil Bellows) and stepmother to his twin daughters Giselle (Karina Banno) and Ruby (Raechelle Banno) in not one, but two Lifetime movies premiering this weekend.

Watch for Daphne’s world to suffer a twist when Ruby, the twin of her stepdaughter, Giselle, finds her way to her and Pierre’s New Orleans home.

“Ruby is filled with hope as love blooms with her high school sweetheart Paul Date (Sam Duke),” reads a release on Ruby on the Lifetime press site. Forced to flee to New Orleans from the bayou, Ruby searches for her estranged father (Bellows), one of the richest men in the city, as she clings to her memories of Paul and their forbidden love.”

In the second film, Pearl in the Mist, Ruby is still struggling to find happiness after a year of living in her father’s lavish mansion. Alas, she faces not one, but three adversaries – her stepmother, Daphne; her twin, Giselle; and the headmistress of the school she attends, the aptly-named Mrs. Ironwood (played by Taxi star Marilu Henner). “Poor Ruby,” teases Bell in another Instagram post.
