As Phyllis, Gina Tognoni has had on-again/off-again romances with men on The Young and the Restless since joining the show in 2014. Off-screen, the actress has one main man — her husband — and she recently celebrated an important day.
Tognoni, who has a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Phyllis, wed husband Joseph Chiarello nine years ago.
She recently took to social media to share their love story with her followers.
“Why do I feel like we’re just getting started”? Tognoni wrote.
Tognoni’s turn on Guiding Light as Dinah Marler which ran from 2004 until the show’s finale in 2009, wasn’t just great for her professional life.

The actress won two Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series for playing Dinah. It also turned out to be a personal blessing, too!
It was Tognoni’s co-star Beth Ehlers (ex-Harley, GL) who introduced Tognoni to Chiarello.
