The Young and the Restless spoilers have returned now that the show has as well but we sure enjoyed Danny in those classics. Well, Michael Damian, who portrayed Danny on and off since 1982, has made it publicly clear that he is open to a Genoa City return. And now is an excellent time for him to do just that!

Why? Because he has so much unfinished business on the canvas! First and foremost, back in the day, Danny was part of an intense rivalry between bad girl Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and insecure girl Traci (Beth Maitland). Lauren isn’t quite as bad anymore, and Traci isn’t quite as insecure. But they both have a lot of free time on their hands.
Lauren is in a presumably happy marriage with Michael (Christian J. Le Blanc). When we see them. Traci is a successful author. But her flirtation with Cane (Daniel Goddard) went nowhere. How much fun would it be for Danny to come home… and for both Lauren and Traci to feel the pull of their youth? Who would win in this rematch?

Broken Home
Danny’s other triangle was with Christine (Lauralee Bell) and Phillip (Thom Bierdz). Danny won that one, and he and Christine wed. But then Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) popped up with Daniel, the son she claimed Danny had fathered while touring. Christine and Danny were dunzo.
These days, like Lauren, Chris is in a happy marriage (a triangle with Paul that he lost) we don’t see much of. Isn’t she curious about what could have been if she and Danny hadn’t fallen for Phyllis’s lies? (Daniel turned out not to be his, after all.)
Mellow Fellow
And speaking of Phyllis, her and Danny’s relationship never really had a chance. He wasn’t in love with her, she was a lying liar who lies… But times have changed. Even Phyllis has changed. A little. Has she changed enough that she can be the kind of woman now with whom Danny could fall in love? Don’t we deserve to find out? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
