The Young and the Restless Recaps Highlight

After receiving some encouragement from Abby (Melissa Ordway), Summer (Hunter King) reversed her stance on her and Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) postponed wedding. Neither Nick (Joshua Morrow) nor Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is particularly enamored of the idea of the couple tying the knot come August; Tara (Elizabeth Leiner) is equally put out by the news.

Sensing a fellow schemer, Sally (Courtney Hope) offered to join forces with the soon-to-be-ex Mrs. Locke. Meanwhile, Ashland (Richard Burgi) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) continued to enjoy each other’s company.

When business called, he extended her an offer to join him for a day and night in New York City. After weighing her options, and receiving unsolicited advice from Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria accepted.

Prior to taking his leave, Ashland arranged for a meeting between himself, Tara, and Kyle during which he proposed the three of them share custody of Harrison.

The Cuckoo’s Nest

Michael (Christian Le Blanc) reached out to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and confided his fear that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was involved in Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) litany of crimes. Adam (Mark Grossman) paid Chelsea a visit at the mental health center and informed her that she would not be seeing Conner until she’s fully recovered.

Afterward, Chloe goes to see Chelsea and reveals that she’s accepted Adam’s offer of employment, which incensed Chelsea. Rey swung by the facility, and he inquired as to how Chelsea pulled off her schemes without assistance.

Thinking Strategically

Thanks to the meticulous notes kept by her former foster mother – and preserved by the private investigator employed by Richard – Amanda (Mishael Morgan) learned that her father had been planning to meet with her foster family before he died.

After demanding that Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) arrange a sit-down with Sutton (Jack Landron), Amanda questioned why she was being stymied in her attempts to clear Sutton’s name. Sutton made it crystal clear that he does not want Naya’s (Ptosha Storey) involvement with Richard to come out during the trial, and when Amanda balks, he gives serious consideration to firing her.

During a subsequent conversation with Victor, Sutton lets slip that his granddaughter cum lawyer has proven to be a disappointment. Though Sutton does his best to cover his gaffe, Victor is left intrigued. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
