The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, October 29, 2020, features a study in blown-up family relationships, as Adam says goodbye to the Newmans, Theo takes exception with the Abbots, and Summer keeps her distance from Kyle.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Adam (Mark Grossman) informs Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) that he is walking away from Victor (Eric Braeden) and his siblings. Vic and Nick don’t believe him, but they do worry about how Victor will react. Adam serves Victor with papers to change his name from Newman to Wilson (after the stepfather who raised him). Victor does not point out that Adam is an adult, he doesn’t need Victor’s permission to change his name.
Jewel Of Tears
Jack boasts that he had Dina’s (Marla Adams) diamond turned into jewelry for all of the family. Traci (Beth Maitland) boasts that she will be writing a book about the jewel and donating the proceeds to Alzheimer’s research. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) boasts that she is naming a perfume after Dina and donating all the proceeds to Alzheimer’s research. Jack says that the most important thing to Dina would have been how they’ve come together as a family – no matter how little she cared about it while she was alive.
Theo (Tyler Johnson) gets tired of all the family talk and wonders why he didn’t get a piece of jewelry – and whether he’s in the will. Kyle – who has more money than he could spend in a lifetime – accuses Theo of only caring about money.
Summer (Hunter King) explains to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) that Kyle went all out to prove how much he loves her – and that’s why she can’t be with him. She wants everything to be perfect, and since it isn’t, well, then, she has to destroy everything.
