The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, July 30 continues Newman week (i.e. Newmans who aren’t Victor and Nikki), they already had their own week. By rerunning the February 7, 2008 episode featuring Victoria and JT’s wedding. Victoria is happy, JT is happy, and Victor is happy. That can only mean one thing!
Plus, Jack has a scheme to get rid of Gloria, while Gloria has a scheme to get rid of Jeffrey. Couldn’t they just combine?

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) thinks nothing can go wrong. She’s got her man, she’s got her new baby boy, and now they’re all about to become a family – legally. We all know that this relationship will eventually go very, very bad. But Victoria doesn’t.
Why not? There were obvious signs. No, not JT (Thad Luckinbill) wanting to see Victoria on the day of the wedding. That’s rookie stuff. A really soap couple can overcome something so banal.

No, the real red flag is that Victor (Eric Braeden) is crazy about the boy his little girl is marrying. Victor can’t say enough good things about JT. If Victor likes the man in Victoria’s life, shouldn’t she know the relationship is doomed? (Bring on Billy! Victor can’t stand him!)
Double Cross
Jack (Peter Bergman) is obsessed with getting Gloria (Judith Chapman) out of the Abbott mansion. Sharon (Sharon Case) wonders why. Jack is a rich man. He doesn’t have to live in his Daddy’s house forever. Why not buy a new place of his own? No, Jack says. It’s the principle of the thing.
Meanwhile, Gloria has figured out that Jeffrey (Ted Shackelford) is helping himself to her money. She needs to get rid of him. Why not just dump him like a regular person, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) wonders. No, Gloria says. It’s the principle of the thing. Now help Mommy with her wacky scheme like a good minion.
