The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, May 14, 2020, is a classic Victor and Jack showdown from June 21, 1999, where Victor throws his weight around and destroys property. Plus, Kay manipulates a vulnerable teenager, and Paul and Christine get some disappointing news.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Victor (Eric Braeden) just cannot wrap his brain around how he could have lost and Jack (Peter Bergman) could have won. But that portrait of Jack and Brad (Don Diamont) hanging above what used to be Victor’s desk – and no more place for Victor on the Board of Directors – suggests that’s exactly what happened.
Victor Has A Tantrum
And, like a toddler who knows he should be using his words but is so angry that none are coming to him, Victor spews a collection of sounds that he thinks are threats, then grabs the portrait and smashes it over a chair. With no more big targets, Victor next goes for a pencil, snapping it in half and telling Jack that’s what he’s going to do to him. The fact that Jack manages to stand there without bursting out laughing is the most awe-inspiring part of this confrontation!
