The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, December 25 features a tear-jerking Christmas Eve in Genoa City.

From Bad To Worse
It was a day of shock when Nate (Brooks Darnell) told Nick and Victoria to call their family home. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) doesn’t have much time left and is dying before their eyes.

To their surprise, Noah (Robert Adamson) was already back in town and the hospital was his first stop.

Party Time!
Sharon’s (Sharon Case) pop-up party was the scene of a few surprises. Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kerry (Alice Hunter) officially came out as a couple.

Billy (Jason Thompson) got closer to Vicky (Amelia Heinle) and even made her smile. However, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) put a damper on the festivities when she took the get-together as an opportunity and cornered Mariah (Camryn Grimes). The TV star tried to be polite but Mia wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Mia became the least of Mariah’s worries when Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) announced she was leaving town under the guise of visiting her sister.

Mariah had a breakdown, which led Sharon to finally put her differences aside and agree to at least be civil with her daughter’s girlfriend.

Fighting For Nikki
Unfortunately, the festivities came to an abrupt halt when Victoria got a call to rush to the hospital. Everyone put their coffee and cookies aside and left to be with the Newman family.

A tiny ray of hope came when Nikki squeezed Noah’s hand but Nate wasn’t impressed. He claimed it was just a reflex but the family held out hope it was something more.

Outside, friends and family gathered for a candlelight vigil and prayed for a miracle as they sung Silent Night

Guilt ate away at Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) and he decided to confess. He found Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) stopped him before he started.

Victor’s Home!
Inside Nikki’s room, a miracle did happen, but it wasn’t her opening her eyes. Instead, it was Victor (Eric Braeden) finally back and sitting by her side. He took Nikki’s hand and begged her to fight for her life.
