The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 20 features Summer pursuing Billy in her mother’s favorite spot, Nick breaking some unpleasant news to Billy, Neil reaching out to Ashley, and Mariah confessing to Devon.
Going Up?
Summer (Hunter King) blew off Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) question about whether she has a crush on Billy (Jason Thompson) and ran off to find… Billy. (Way to prove Nick wrong!)
Summer cornered him in a stuck elevator and got Billy to admit that he’s attracted to her. But he is also in love with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Billy explained to Summer that when you’re a grown-up, you can be attracted to a person – and not do anything about it!
That’s what they call adulting. He left the elevator without having sex with Summer! It’s a big day for Billy!
Of course, earlier, Billy learned that Nick bought the real estate company that holds the leases on his Jaboutiques. Billy saw Nick conferring with Jack, and puts two and two together.

Mess Hall
Neil (Kristoff St. John) got the brush off from Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and made no headway in getting Devon (Bryton James) to reconcile with Lily (Christel Khalil). For some reason, Nate (Brooks Darnell) offered some unsolicited advice.
Meanwhile, Devon continued waxing poetic about the great love of his life, Hilary (Mishael Morgan), whom he, more often than not, was furious with.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) stopped by and also sang Hilary’s praises. They had an even worse relationship, but what the heck?
Mariah admitted that Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) is with Crystal and they might be in trouble, but she promised not to go to the police. Devon, like his cousin Nate, also offered some unhelpful platitudes.
