The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 5 finds Summer continuing to obsess over Sally – even as she has an awkward question for Jack. Plus, Gloria backs Lauren into a corner, and Adam thinks he’s found a game-changer for Chelsea.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Sally (Courtney Hope) gets a promotion. Summer (Hunter King) is convinced this is a slam against her, and that Sally only did it to show Summer she couldn’t cower her. Kyle (Michael Mealor) tentatively suggests that maybe Sally isn’t living her entire life as an affront to Summer, but his beloved is too far gone to see anything resembling sense.

Meanwhile, Sally asks Jack (Peter Bergman) why he is still single. Jack pretends he’s content with his life. While they’re chatting, Sally gets a text from Theo (Tyler Johnson). He’s ready to spill some seriously Kyle dirt! Seems Kyle had an affair with some rich guy’s wife. Oooooh….?

Filling the Gap

Now that Sally has moved up in the world, Gloria (Judith Chapman) has the perfect candidate to replace her as Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) assistant: Gloria! She tries to convince Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) to back her up. Michael is smart enough not to do that.

Motivating Factor

First, Adam (Mark Grossman) thought Sharon (Sharon Case) could annoy Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) into recovering. Chelsea was annoyed all right, but she didn’t leap out of her wheelchair and thank Adam for doing this to her.

Adam then decided to bring Connor (Judah Mackey) home from boarding school. But Sharon thought it would be too traumatic for the overly sensitive little fellow. Remember how the world had to stop while Adam dealt with Connor not getting to play in his soccer game? This could put him over the edge!

They’ll just have to keep going the way they have been. Surely, it will work eventually. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
