The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, December 31, 2019, features Genoa City citizens greeting the new year with some old friends… and enemies. Phyllis kissed up to both of her exes, Nick confronted Chelsea with Adam’s latest misdeeds, while Theo and Kyle had the same old argument, and Devon made the same old vow.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights: Old Acquaintance

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Jack (Peter Bergman) agreed they’re friends again. Phyllis and Nick (Joshua Morrow) reconnected to the point where Summer (Hunter King) wanted to know if her mom is going after her dad… again?

Meanwhile, Nick let Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) know that Adam (Mark Grossman) wanted Phyllis to sleep with Nick so he could have Chelsea. Chelsea confronted Adam, who insisted that he still loves her and Connor (Judah Mackey) and family and… you all know the drill.

And Never Brought To Mind

Kyle (Michael Mealor) learned that Theo (Tyler Johnson) had been Lola’s (Sasha Calle) taste tester. That’s not a euphemism. Theo really had been taste-testing… Kyle’s wife’s food. The pair used the great reveal as an excuse to bicker some more about their infamous New York past to the point where Jack realized he needs to separate these boys.

Devon: We’ll Drink a Cup

Jill (Jess Walton) didn’t think Chance (Danny Boaz) would be happy in Genoa City without the danger of his previous job, then saw him with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and figured out Wisconsin’s appeal.

Jill went to see Devon (Bryton James) and told him she’s still looking for Colin (Tristan Rogers). Devon again said he’s not sure if they can trust Cane (Daniel Goddard) and again said he will make whoever is responsible for conning him out of Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper) money pay. You know, in case we’ve forgotten… The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
