The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, January 27, 2021, features Nick being the voice of reason for Victoria, while Phyllis does the same for Summer. Also, Sally begs Kyle for discretion, and Abby and Chance spring their ask on Mariah.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Summer (Hunter King) can’t wait to brag to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) about all the dirt she dug up on Sally (Courtney Hope) and how she’s going to use the intel to make sure the interloper never gets another word of praise from Jack (Peter Bergman) again.
To Summer’s surprise, while Phyllis praises her daughter’s ingenuity, she warns Summer to be very careful about what she does with her scoop. Summer asks what Phyllis would have done in her place, at her age. Phyllis admits that, at her age, Phyllis would have been the scheming redhead, just trying to get a foothold onto a ladder that Summer was born at the top of. Summer should consider that before she pounces. But then she sees Jack being nice to Sally and makes a suspicious face.

Meanwhile, Sally has figured out what Summer dug up and asks Kyle to keep it quiet. After all, he knows what it’s like to do dumb things out of love and passion. His past with Summer is hardly… placid.
Sister Act
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) suggests she and Billy (Jason Thompson) work from home with Johnny and Katie. Nick (Joshua Morrow) calls and hears about their cozy arrangement and doesn’t approve of what his sister is doing.
Maybe Baby?
Chance (Donny Boaz) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) ask Mariah (Camryn Grimes) to carry their baby for them. Mariah is in shock and stammers that she needs to talk to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). Chance and Abby understand that this is a huge ask, but, see, Mariah needs to understand: They really, really want this.
