The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, January 2, 2020, features your faves ringing in the new year with a few surprises, as Nick made a last-minute decision, Tessa got a last-minute invitation, and Billy had a last-minute change of heart.
The Young and the Restless Recap: Our Society
Abby (Melissa Ordway) threw a New Year’s Eve bash where Chance (Danny Boaz) was her guest… and a person of interest for Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Theo (Tyler Johnson) made nice with Kyle (Michael Mealor) while watching Lola (Sasha Calle), and told Summer (Hunter King) he planned to move all obstacles out of his way in 2020.
Victor (Eric Braeden) toasted Abby, and Jack toasted Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) on their anniversary.
Color Me Crimson
Over at Crimson Lights, another party was going on. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) performed, then got a text invite to tour with a major star. Who sends out job offers on New Year’s Eve?
Bad and Good Billy
As Victoria (Amelia Heinle) awkwardly counted down to midnight, Billy (Jason Thompson) was hanging with Amanda (Mishael Morgan) at their favorite dive bar. He did leave before the holiday officially begins, and reunited with his not-wife.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Jack that he’s losing Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and, in a game of you can’t fire me, I quit, he was the one who dumped his girlfriend, telling her she belonged with Adam (Mark Grossman). Isn’t it nice of the men in her life to make all of Chelsea’s decisions for her?
Chelsea wasn’t exactly heartbroken and told Nick he’s a good man. Before making a beeline to Adam. He was waiting at home and they held hands.
Is that is? Are we good? Is Connor (Judah Mackey) all better now? (Nikki did make a call to ensure he can stay at his school. What she didn’t say was the size of the donation she must have dropped to make it happen.) The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
