The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 6, 2020, picks up with Mariah demanding Tessa tell her the whole story about Tanner, while Nick told Nikki he and Chelsea broke up, and Chelsea told Connor she and Adam are back together — kind of.
The Young and the Restless Recap: Getting a Tan(ner)
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) demanded to know why Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) didn’t tell her she and Tanner (Chase Coleman) used to be married. Like all of Tessa’s previous lies, she didn’t have an adequate excuse.
Tessa insisted her relationship with Tanner was no big deal, not like her love for Mariah. Mariah didn’t buy it and later went crying to Sharon (Sharon Case), who was reeling from finding a lump in her breast and needing to set up tests to check if it’s cancer.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) admitted to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) that he and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) broke up. Nikki wondered if Adam (Mark Grossman) manipulated Chelsea by using Connor (Judah Mackey).

Nick pretended it didn’t bother him, which reminded Nikki of Victor (Eric Braeden). She was surprisingly supportive, only warning Nick not to go bouncing back to Sharon. Nick laughed, as that’s exactly what Sharon predicted she would say!
Chelsea and Adam: Family Talk
Chelsea told Connor she and Nick broke up. Connor was thrilled they’re going to be a family again! He has everything he ever wanted, and all he had to do was throw multiple temper tantrums and sob in self-pity to get his way!
Chelsea told Adam she believes he loves Connor but is a bit leery of being on the receiving end of his obsessive love again. Adam promised to be a better man and prove himself to Chelsea. So he, too, has everything he ever wanted. Also gotten through tantrums and self-pity. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
