The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, October 17, 2019, features the return character no one wants to see, as well as the mention of a family some fans fondly remember. Plus, Connor tried to bring Adam back to Genoa City.

The Young and the Restless Recap: Oh, My Papa

Lola (Sasha Calle) was not pleased to see Adrian (Jay Montalvo) on her doorstop, sporting a shiner and with a sob story about how was he supposed to know the woman was married and is it his fault the husband now wants Adrian dead?

Kyle (Michael Mealor) came home, and Lola warned her not to give Adrian any money. Once she was gone, Adrian manipulates Kyle into giving him some money. Later, Adrian spied Traci (Beth Maitland) at The Grand Phoenix and proceeded to chat her up.

One For the Brooks

Traci and Jack (Peter Bergman) wondered about Dina’s (Marla Adams) connection to Stuart Brooks. They talk to Lori and Leslie Brooks (hey, did the sisters ever resolve that custody battle they had over the child Leslie bore but Lori raised back in the early 1980s?) who emailed a letter from Dina to Stuart that they just happen to have in the family archives.

Traci saw smudges and deduced that Dina was crying when she wrote it. Or she, you know, spilled coffee. Also, Genoa City used to be called Genoa Junction. Who knew?

The Young and the Restless Recap: Give Me My Way

Connor (Judah McKay) claimed he punched the kid in school for saying something mean about his dad. Nick talked about being the bigger man and rising above things. Something Newmans aren’t exactly known for. Conner grabbed Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) phone and called Adam (Mark Grossman), but only got voicemail.

He cried. Chelsea hugged him. Nick (Joshua Morrow) gave a little pep talk. Then they brought out Christian and play charades. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
