The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, May 22, 2020, rounds out Winters Week with a rerun of the December 7, 2006 episode where Devon officially became a member of the Winters family. Plus, the Abbott family was forced to face reality, Jill and Kay waited for life-changing test results, and everyone was so much younger!

Devon (Bryton James) has been through a lot. He lost his mother to drugs, he has yet to meet his filthy-rich daddy. He lost his hearing. He fell into a lion’s cage. You know, normal teenage troubles.
First, he got a cochlear implant. You can see it behind his ear in this episode. Where is it these days? Then, Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Dru (Victoria Rowell) officially adopted him. Just in time for Christmas!

Daughter Dearest
Jill (Jess Walton) and Kay (Jeanne Cooper) first fought over a man. Then they learned that they were mother and daughter. They didn’t bother to get a DNA test or anything to prove it. They just took the word of one of Kay’s friends. Then they found out it might not be true. So they went for that DNA test. Now they’re waiting for results.
Meanwhile Esther (Kate Linder) prattled on about how great it is to have a daughter. Her precious Kate never causes Esther any trouble. She is such a good girl! And she always will be…
On the Catwalk
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) learned that Gloria (Judith Chapman) planned to represent the Abbott family on a reality show. They were displeased. Gloria didn’t care, as she explains to Lauren (Tracey Bregman), who was holding a teeny-weeny, newborn Fen. Hold onto him tightly, Lauren. He’s going to grow up real fast!
