The Young and the Restless recap for January 27-31, 2020, features the Villy pairing imploding, a secret assignation in Fog City, and much more.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Billy (Jason Thompson) continued to complain to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that “You can’t except me for who I am. And I can’t fit in the mold you want me to be.” When the couple reached a stalemate, Billy packed a bag, moved out, and was promptly arrested for starting an off-camera barroom brawl.

And who should ride to his rescue but ex-best friend and confident Amanda Sinclair? She even bailed him out of jail and helped him get settled in his new room at the Grand Phoenix.

Y&R Musings: Summer, Kyle, So Much More

Summer (Hunter King): “How clear are you going to make things Kyle? Are you going to tell her that I kissed you?” Well, here’s the thing Summer. Kyle (Michael Mealor) was totally going to come clean but then his mother-in-law had to go and break her foot so he decided to let (dirty) sleeping dog’s lie — for now.

On the subject of Kyle, Summer and “What happened in San Francisco” why did they think it was a good idea to discuss the matter in the CEO office, during working hours with the door standing wide open? Not only are they really bad secret keepers but they deserved to be eavesdropped on by Theo (Tyler Johnson).

We understand that her recent cancer diagnosis has lead Sharon to adopt a peaceful, kumbaya state, but, when she was singing Chance’s (Donny Boaz) praises to Phyllis  — she’s especially impressed by his good manners and tipping skills — how in the world did she manage to not bring up the fact that he is at least 15 years her rival’s junior?

So, Crimson Lights is getting a facelift? What do we think that will entail? Perhaps they’ll finally remove that payphone from the hotspot’s vestibule?

Phyllis: “You have amazing hands. I bet you’re really good with a wrench. You want to come up and check my plumbing?” This sudser rarely resorts to double entendres, but when it does, they’re extra raunchy.

Now that we’ve seen Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) peruse “Stolen Lockets & Broken Hearts” and heard her say that the novel was a departure for Traci (Beth Maitland), do we think she has a secret stash of the authoresses first edition novels?

“Someone can only interfere in a couple’s relationship if one of the two people involved allows them to.” Man, when did perennial loser at love Abby Newman start spouting pearls of wisdom such as this? The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
