The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, April 21, 2021, digs into whether Sharon and Rey’s marriage can be saved, if Kyle should come clean with Ashland, and what Sally should do about the break-up with Jack.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

On the one hand, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) told Sharon that there is nothing she can say or do that would change his mind about leaving her. Sharon (Sharon Case) replied that she would never stop fighting for her marriage.

On the other hand, when Mariah (Camryn Grimes) makes suggestions about what Sharon can say or do to save her marriage, Sharon is full of excuses about why he’ll never believe her. While Rey is talking to Lola (Sasha Calle) about Sharon maybe still changing her ways.

If anything demonstrates just how bad their communication skills are, this would be it. And that’s all before Sharon gets a phone call from Adam.

From the Ashes

Jack (Peter Bergman) idly wondered to Ashland (Richard Burgi) about who, oh, who could possibly be spreading these terrible rumors about Jabot? Ashland shrugs. He has no idea.

Meanwhile, Kyle (Michael Mealor) decided to play hero. He will go to Ashland, confess to the affair with Tara (Elizabeth Leiner), and promise to step away from Jabot if Ashland will only leave the family company alone.

Summer (Hunter King) thinks it’s a terrible idea that could end up hurting Kyle, Tara, Harrison, and, oh, yeah, her. She wants to throw a major party to celebrate their love – and convince Ashland Kyle is totes over Tara. Right?

Winners Never Quit

Lauren (Tracey Bregman) tells Sally (Courtney Hope) that she may have fallen for Jack, but he clearly never felt as strongly about her. Give it up and move on. Sally doesn’t want to.

Baby Talk

Abby (Mellissa Ordway) wants to vicariously experience every moment of Mariah’s pregnancy. Will she sign up to take a morning sickness shift? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
