The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 11, picks up where last week left off, with a very bumpy plane ride, a very sketchy business proposal, and a very mouthy teen.

Encountering a little turbulence while flying the friendly skies and then making a landing forced Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Hunter King), and Billy (Jason Thompson), and Lily (Christel Khalil) to stop scowling at each other and make nice. Summer even told Lily how nice it was to see her falling in love.
Hold up, what, Lily countered. Who said anything about the ‘L’ word? But enough about you, Summer agrees, let’s talk about me and Kyle. Our relationship is totally functional, even though I once blackmailed him into marriage, then ran away from him the night before our next wedding. Oh, and did I mention that Billy and I had a thing while he was still with my mom? Did I say that out loud? Never mind…
Let’s Misbehave
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is determined to pay Nick (Joshua Morrow) the money he loaned her to buy The Grand Phoenix from Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Phyllis’s plan for doing that involves convincing Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to help her dig up blackmail material against Victoria. Kevin attempts to gently point out the crazy coo-coo of her plan. For one thing, Nick will never forgive her. Eh, Nick’s forgiven her for worse.

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), on the other hand, needs Nick to forgive Victoria. Nick responds the way he always does, “Oh, yeah, well, Vic is acting like dad!”
Speaking of crappy parents, we finally see Amanda’s mother when she shows up at the woman’s door. Naya is not happy to see her and tells her she only has one daughter, Maya.
This Town Ain’t Big Enough For the Both Of Us
Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is making her usual sad face when she receives a text from Jordan basically teasing her for being a baby – why is she hanging out with this chick again? – when she spies Adam (Mark Grossman) and decides to yell at him.
