The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, September 4, 2020, features Hilary upsetting Devon, Elena, Billy, Lily, Nate… and herself. Plus, Noah doesn’t want Adam around Sharon, and Abby doesn’t want Alyssa around Chance. Phyllis is involved in both.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Amanda (Mishael Morgan) kicks off the episode by telling Billy (Jason Thompson) she’s not interested in being his enabler. Billy insists he has no interest in asking her to do that. Amanda leaves and Lily (Christel Khalil) comes in, wondering if Billy is still romantically interested in Amanda.
He insists he’s not and, to prove it, goes on a dating app to prove how not interested in Amanda he is. The conversation turns to Billy urging Lily to get back on the dating horse, too… as it were. Lily is resistant, though she does admit to Billy that she would like someone in her life again. Someone to know her, someone to hold her. (Billy likely doesn’t realize she is quoting the lyrics from Sondheim’s Being Alive.)
Amanda next talks to Nate (Sean Dominic). Even though he’s the one who pushed Amanda into asking Devon (Bryton James) for Hilary’s DNA, now he’s suddenly worried about how it will affect Devon. He regales Amanda with stories of Devon and Hilary’s tragic past. He’s about an episode too late, no?

Finally, Devon tells Elena (Brytni Sarpy) about Amanda’s request. She is upset that this will make Devon feel like he has a piece of Hilary back. So Amanda’s face didn’t get that job done?
Phyllis In the Middle
Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) is a point of contention between Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Noah (Robert Adamson), though, overall, he’s more upset about Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sharon (Sharon Case).
Phyllis also watches Abby (Melissa Ordway) watch Chance (Danny Boaz) with Alyssa. She figures this is something she needs to know about, too. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
