The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 7 sees a criss-cross-applesauce of betrayals between Chelsea, Adam, and Victor Newman. Plus, Billy Abbott works to undermine his ex-wife, and Imani wants to know everything about her new sister…and her sister’s loved ones.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Looks like Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t cut out for a life of crime. As soon as she recorded him admitting that he was on the take, Doc went running to Victor (Eric Braeden), crying that the jig is up!
Victor, who has a lot more experience with this than his crooked MD, pointed out that if Chelsea plays the tape for anyone in authority, it will also reveal that she faked her psychotic break, and then she’ll have to stand trial for Rey Rosales’s (Jordi Vilasuso) attempted murder. So they have nothing to worry about. Duh.
The chastened shrink slinks off. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) suggests to Pops that maybe they should help get Chelsea out of the loony bin so she can be reunited with Conner (Judah Mackey). Nah, Victor dismisses, that’s just Sonny Boy’s guilt talking. Chelsea is exactly where Victor wants her.

Young and Restless Recap: Money Makes the World Go Round
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) totes doesn’t care that ex-wife Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is palling around with Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). That is totally not why he offers to buy Locke’s company. Ashland says he’ll let Billy know if he’s interested. Lily (Christel Khalil) wonders where Billy plans to get the money if Locke accepts his offer.
Y&R: Drinks and a Show
Imani Benedict (Leigh Ann Rose) joins Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), Elena (Brytni Sarpy), and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) for drinks. She flirts with Nate. And then she wants to hear all about who has slept with whom in this quadrangle. Is she getting this info for Grandpa? Or is she just a nosy yenta? Elena has her number and seems almost amused as she flirts with Nate.
